St. George’s, Grenada – The Windward Islands Cricket Board (WICB) selectors today announced the squads to participate in the Windward Volcanoes Best versus Best Red Ball Two Match Series scheduled for the Grenada National Stadium on January 12-14, and January 17-19, 2023.
Team A will be led by Sunil Ambris and includes West Indies Academy batsman Teddy Bishop along with a host of emerging players.
Rising Dominican left handed batsman Alick Athanaze will lead Team B which includes West Indies Under-19 Captain and Academy batsman Ackeem Auguste.
The three-day matches provide the best Windwards players with valuable match practice ahead of the West Indies regional 4 day Championship scheduled to begin on January 31, 2023.
The Series also give the Windwards selection panel an opportunity to assess players with a view of selecting the best Windwards Team for the Championship.
