April 2, 2025 – Arnos Vale, St. Vincent and the Grenadines – The Windward Islands Cricket Board (WICB) is pleased to announce that WINLOTT Inc. has reaffirmed its commitment to the development of young cricketers by continuing its sponsorship of the Windward Islands Under- 19 Cricket Tournament. The highly anticipated tournament is set to take place in Grenada from April 5 – 14, 2025.
WINLOTT Inc.’s continued partnership ensures that the region’s premier youth cricket competition maintains its expanded format introduced in the previous edition. Under this structure, each participating team will play six matches instead of four, providing greater opportunities for player development and increased competitive exposure.
WICB CEO Romel Currency expressed gratitude for WINLOTT Inc.’s unwavering support, stating, “We are incredibly grateful for WINLOTT Inc.’s continued investment in our young cricketers since 2014. Their commitment plays a vital role in the success of this tournament and the growth of cricket across the Windward Islands. This partnership helps to nurture future stars of West Indies cricket.”
WINLOTT Inc.’s sponsorship will continue to provide essential funding for tournament operations and logistical support, reinforcing its position as a key advocate for youth sports in the region. It will also work with the WICB to enhance media coverage for this year’s event – ensuring the tournament and the players garner the attention it deserves.
The Windward Islands Under-19 Cricket Tournament has long been a cornerstone in developing young talent, serving as a crucial stepping stone for players aspiring to represent their territories at higher levels of competition.
