The Windward Islands Volcanoes Men’s Cricket Team is seeking a passionate and skilled Assistant Coach to join our coaching staff. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is dedicated to developing top-tier cricket talent and helping our team achieve success on the field.

Position Details

Position: Assistant Coach
Primary Location: St. Vincent and the Grenadines
Contract Term: One year


The Assistant Coach will be responsible for supporting the Head Coach in developing our players’ all-round skills and abilities. The goal is to ensure that our team plays a competitive brand of cricket at all levels.

Core Duties & Responsibilities

The Assistant Coach will assist the Head Coach in:

  • Designing and implementing a year-long holistic development program 
  • Developing and implementing plans, strategies, and remedial programs to improve player performances
  • Establishing key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for benchmarking player performances and progression
  • Facilitating the design and implementation of fitness training regimes in collaboration with the Strength & Conditioning Coach and Physiotherapist
  • Outlining annual programs for mental training support in conjunction with the Medical Committee and Cricket Operations Officer
  • Maintaining discipline according to Franchise policies and instilling high standards of attitude and discipline within the team alongside the Head Coach and Captain
  • Developing and enforcing team protocols and standards in collaboration with the Head Coach, Captain, and players
  • Resolving issues or conflicts promptly and fostering a positive team environment

The ideal candidate will have experience in coaching cricket at a competitive level and a strong understanding of player development. A CWI Level Two Coaching Certificate or equivalent would be an asset.
